My Experience at Ashoka University
I came to Ashoka University on Sunday 1st June. It is in Sonipat, Haryana, 33 kilometers away from Delhi. At first I was pretty excited that I would be staying at a college campus, but when the day came I was very nervous and sad that I would be away from my family. Saying goodbyes aren’t really my thing but I had to say goodbye to them anyways. When we reached I had to get my name checked in the list then get the keys to my dorm room. My mom helped me set up my cupboard. Then I showed my room to my nani, my sister, my dad and my massi. We went for a tour on the campus where the Ashoka students showed us around. The campus was very big and it was very beautiful, it had trees everywhere, it had a lot of greenery. Finally it was the time to say goodbye, I said goodbye to everybody and was a bit emotion but I held back the tears. The next day was my first day. I had seen many of my friends from my tuition classes and from my old school. I had four classes in a day and in the evening there would be sports planned for us only on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On Tuesday we had a chaat party. Where there were many stalls for different kin of chaats. There was also a lot of dancing, the students in Ashoka who were our councillors were also dancing with us. It was a lot of fun. For our food, we had to go to the mess to get our food, there were also different kind of outlets where students could get their food from, but I used to eat at the mess area. During lunchtime I would quickly finish my lunch and sit outside, enjoying the beauty of the campus. My last day on campus was Friday, that day we had long lectures which were boring but interesting. After lunch I had to go to my respective class to collect my certificate. Then I went to my room, excited that my family would come soon to pick me. When my family came they gave me a long big hug and my dog jumped on me wagging his tail with excitement. My experience at Ashoka was very nice, it gave a feeling that I was literally studying in a college.
